How to invite a teacher

You can invite teachers to join your school or organization in just a few steps.

Send a new invite

  1. Go to Team Settings, and click on the Invites tab.
  2. Select Invite User.
  3. Enter the teacher’s email address, role (permission level) and assign a subscription.
  4. Double-check the spelling and details of the invite, as you can't edit details after creating the invite.
  5. Click Send Invite.

The teacher will receive an email with a link to join.

Resend an invite

If a teacher can’t find their email invite or the link has expired, you can resend the invitation.

  1. Go to Team Settings and click on the Invites tab.
  2. Find the email address in the list. You can see when their invite is set to expire (within 90 days). Click on the three dot icon on the right side of the row.
  3. Select Resend Invite.

Invite statuses explained

Pending

The invite was sent, but the teacher hasn’t accepted yet.

Expired invite

Invites expire after 90 days for security reasons.
What to do: Click Resend Invite to generate a new link.

Invalid invite

This means the subscription that was originally assigned to the invite has expired or ended. Because that subscription is no longer valid, the invite link cannot be used.

What to do:

  1. Delete the existing invite
  2. Ensure you have an active subscription or available teacher seat
  3. Create a brand new invite

Resending will not fix this status — a new invite must be created after the subscription issue is resolved.

Still having trouble?

If the teacher isn’t receiving emails, ask them to:

  • Check their spam/junk folder
  • Confirm you used the correct email address
